My origins lie nestled in the Central Andes Mountains of Colombia, a childhood spent hand-in-hand with my parents and siblings, enveloped by the sprawling, verdant embrace of the forests. Here, my admiration for the natural world blossomed into my second grand love, after the cherished bond with my mother and family. Amidst the endless greens—the plants, the towering trees, the vibrant flowers—this profound connection to my inherent roots ignited the very spark to become an artist. I found myself constantly sketching the landscapes, the animals, and every intricate detail that seized my youthful attention and curiosity.
What truly astonishes me about my creative process is its unfolding mystery. Unlike many who envision their masterpieces from the outset, my artistic journey feels like a living, evolving entity—a continuous "computer working in progress." I navigate each stroke, each shade, step by careful step, unable to foresee the ultimate conclusion. It's only when the work is complete that I can finally step back, truly realize, and deeply appreciate the essence I've poured into it. This act of creation, of existing fully in the present moment as I draw and paint, connects me intrinsically to every environment. My artistic world is one of profound gratitude, deeply interwoven with its surroundings.
For me, success isn't an elusive goal but a frequent, tangible feeling. It stems from the sheer happiness, honor, and profound satisfaction my profession continuously offers. My journey as an artist is an endless exploration, a perpetual act of bringing something new into existence.
